Woodridge School – Cebu Inc is located at Banilad in Cebu City, Philippines, and is currently headed by Jesusa J. Abella.
The school’s history may be traced back to the Woodridge School of Soldiers Hills II in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, which came into existence in 1984. The school aimed to provide an educational transformation that will assist the children to promote self dignity and enable them to lead a Christian life that is dedicated to the service of God, country, and fellowmen.
The steady increase in the school’s population marked its growing reputation as a learning institution committed to maintain educational excellence. Since 1992, up to this day, the school has been acclaimed by the DepEd, Division of Cavite to operate Preschool, Grade School and High School courses.
Year 2001 proved to be a very promising year for Woodridge as it assertively addressed the growing need for expansion to cater the students’ need for top quality education. Dubbed as the School of the New Millennium, Woodridge School – Cebu came into existence.
To keep abreast with the changing times and be globally competitive, Woodridge School – Cebu has made a giant step as it turned into Woodridge International School (WIS).
WIS is living up to the standards of an international school by employing international educational materials, equipments and tools pertinent for technology enhancement and learning programs. Distance Learning Education was also introduced, where the Modular Approach is being practiced.
Woodridge, in its 10th year, has received considerable achievement awards and has completed the Basic Education Levels acknowledged by the DOE.
