
Are you looking for a center here in Cebu that you can trust to take care of your toddlers while you are busy at work? Then, look no more as the R.I.G.H.T. Early Childhood Care and Development Center/Day Care, Inc., has recently opened its doors to a variety of clients, including your precious little toddlers.
R.I.G.H.T. stands for the values of Respect, Individuality, Good Life, Humanity, and Truth. To quote the administrators of the Day Care establishment, “At R.I.G.H.T., we understand the importance of care services, which are reliable and child-centered. There are three (3) teachers at the center and one receptionist. Right now, they have three (3) volunteers from Denmark, namely Stine, Ditte and Maria. They will be here until the end of July 2012. The center hopes to get some additional volunteers in the future.

Rob (Robby B. Echavez): As R.I.G.H.T. Administrator, he makes sure that the day-to-day operations of the day care goes smoothly, ensuring a safe, positive, and healthy environment for your tots to know more about the world and the values R.I.G.H.T. stand for. His educational and professional background has involved guidance and counseling, clinical psychology, teaching, and speech-language therapy.
Ester (Esteria Pepito): A Daycare worker at R.I.G.H.T – ECCD/DC. Her primary responsibility is to assist and facilitate the children inside the classroom. She completed a Certificate in Professional Education (CPE) from Cebu Technological University (CTU) in Cebu City.
Anna (Anna Marie E. Amparado): Graduated from the University of San Jose – Recoletos with a degree in Bachelor of Education Major in Special Education. Her work experience includes teaching children/persons with disabilities. She says she believes her best qualities would be managing people with disabilities.
Jovelyn (Jovelyn Abiero): Graduated from the College de San Antonio de Padua with a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Special Education. She says she is a good motivator when it comes to children. This is based on her experience of working with special kids for three (3) years now.
Lovelyn (Lovelyn Lauron): Graduated from Calumboyan National High School, with BS Criminology units from Cebu Technological University. She is the caretaker of the center.
In addition to day care/drop-in services, R.I.G.H.T. also offers speech-language therapy, psychotherapy, psychological assessment, respite care, home visits, support groups, case management, advocacy, and tutorials. Day care/drop-in services are offered to children aged 0-5 years old (infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children) at various rate packages. You may avail of the Php20,000 per year, Php2,500 per month or Php100 per hour day care rates.
Individuals with speech-language issues may avail of speech-language therapy services at Php500 per session. Individuals with mental health issues may also avail of psychotherapy services at Php500 per session. Those who need time-off from caring may avail of the Php100 per hour respite care services, while those seeking help through groups may take advantage of the Php800 per session support groups. For those who seek one to one time for tutorials, sessions are at Php300 each.
Other services intended for individuals requiring psychological testing, individuals and families with systemic or social issues, those necessitating integrated or teaming care, and those who need to assert their special rights are by arrangement. The rates posted in the schedule of services may change without prior notice.
R.I.G.H.T. has clean and fun rooms and spaces to stimulate learning, play, and meaningful interactions among the kids and between them and the staff. The day care has divided its spaces into learning centers or areas that nurture particular skills in children. The art, motor, dramatics, music, reading, and writing areas achieve this purpose. There is also a separate therapy room that ensures children needing quiet and one-to-one interaction get the space they need.
The administrators further state that “It is very important that our kids at R.I.G.H.T gets a feeling of success throughout the day. We do this in many ways. At R.I.G.H.T it is our vision to help develop and support the kids in different situations. We believe promoting early victories will help them develop their potentials.’
Currently, R.I.G.H.T. has no enrolment fee in place and sign-up is for free. If you avail of the R.I.G.H.T. services for your child for only Php2,500 a month, you get four (4) hours of day care services daily for a month plus free services, specifically:
· Four (4) hours of respite care
· Three (3) psychotherapy sessions
· Three (3) speech-language therapy
· One (1) home visit session
· P.T. assessment and referral
