The Cebu City Medical Center College of Nursing (CCMC-CN), located in the hospital building on N. Bacalso Avenue corner Panganiban Street, offers a curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. The College of Nursing was recognized by Cebu City Charter Ordinance 679 in the year 1970.
CCMC-CN is in consortium with Cebu Technological University, formerly known as the Cebu State College of Science and Technology. In 1974, Cebu Normal University started consortium with the Cebu City Medical Center College of Nursing.
The College of Nursing processes applications and evaluates credentials before the school year starts and is said to prioritize enrollment of students from the city’s mountain barangays. In 2009, Mayor Tomas Osmeña announced that the College of Nursing would no longer accept students whose parents are neither residents nor voters of Cebu City. The city also converted the former Cebu City condominium into a lodging house for the students from the mountain barangays at an affordable price per month.
