There’s so much to say about this restaurant but let me summarize everything with three words – WORTH A VISIT. If you’re having second thoughts, read on and be convinced.
Arano’s, located in Guadalupe, could be deceiving as it looks just like an ordinary house from the outside. But beyond the restaurant’s small door are one-of-a-kind authentic Spanish dishes cooked especially for the Cebuanos.
As you enter the resto, don’t be surprised to be welcomed by the Spanish owner Mr. Angel Arano who was from Basque, Spain. Don’t also be surprised to find him checking on you as you eat.
Everything except steaks and beef selections are affordable considering that two to three persons can share one dish. By the way, Mr. Angel’s son actually cooks the food.

The restaurant’s actually spacious inside. Truly deceiving. (image source: theislandexplorer.blogspot.com)
So what’s there to try for first time visitors?
Arano’s serve taco de Pescao, baked stuffed chicken, beef tenderloin, Lengua estofada, Croqueta de Carne, Gambas con Pasta, Chorizo Bilbao, Tortilla de Patata, Callos, Steamed Chicken, pork chops and more.
Note that if you want to try their bestseller, paella, you should call them in advance as they need to prepare the ingredients a day before.
Arano’s is open from Mondays to Fridays at 6pm to 10pm. We suggest you reserve at 09322561934. Arano’s is specifically inside Fairlane Village Road across Guadalupe Elementary school.
