Choobi Choobi translated as lingaw-lingaw in Bisaya has created a buzz for its sumptuous Filipino dishes with a twist. The native restaurant in Parkmall was such a huge success that not long since the first branch was opened, a branch in Capitol was also established.
Just recently, Choobi Choobi opened their third branch in Mabolo, this time, to cater to the residents of Cebu City.
As a bonus for its extending market, Choobi Choobi added a new signature house specialty – Shrimp in a Bag. The new offer is called ‘Singaporean Style Salted Egg Shrimps in a bag’ that’s inspired by a popular Singapore dish called prawns in salted yolk sauce.
They also added the following dishes to their menu:
- Sinugbang Pasayan
- Vegetable Spring Rolls
- BBQ Manok Bisaya
For first-time customers, we recommend Choobi Choobi’s Krispy Kalamari, Sinugbang Pasayan, Lola Pepang’s Fried Chicken, and Tinolang isda.
While everyone was all excited to taste Choobi Choobi’s new additions during the grand opening last November 26, the presence of Pinoy Big Brother grand winner Daniel Matsunaga made the afternoon extra special!
Four lucky customers with their buddy were given the chance to dine with Daniel after the event.
Here’s a portion of the press release for Choobi Choobi Mabolo’s Grand opening:
“ As with our Parkmall and Capitol branches, this new location is intended as a dining destination for family and friends who want a memorable dining experience with good food and ambiance at very affordable prices.
We plan to open two to three more branches in Cebu between now and first quarter next year,” Tanchan said.
Choobi Choobi’s current best sellers include Shrimps in a bag, Chilean Mussels in a bag, Choobi Crispy Pata, Lola Pepang’s Fried Manok, Mama Pina’s Fried Spring Duck, Patrick Starr Baked Scallop, and Grilled Stuffed Squid.”
Celebrities like Marian Rivera, JC de Vera and Jay-r among others have already tried dining at Choobi Choobi branches.
Choobi Choobi in Panagdait Street in Mabolo, just beside Castle Peak Hotel, is open from Monday to Friday at 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and 8:00 am to 10:00 pm every Saturday and Sunday.
