Carnivore Restaurant. A Prime Spot for Meat Lovers.

Carnivore is a new restaurant in Mabolo that all meat lovers will surely love!

Why Carnivore, you ask? “Because most of the Cebuanos really love meat, and that’s exactly what we want to offer them”, says Chef Barbra Sia, one of the owners of the restaurant.

“One of the reasons why we opened our restaurant is because we want to share what we’ve learned for 3 years from our previous jobs in Canada. We also want to introduce Sous Vide (cooking in slow fire or low temperature) here in Cebu. We like to use every part of the animal as much as possible, especially the not-so-famous cuts like the veal cheeks. Our restaurant is a Chef-driven restaurant. Us owners are hands-on. We not just supervise but we also work the line. We open and close the restaurant. That’s how we love so much what we do.” says Chef Kurt Famador, the other owner of Carnivore. He’s a Culinary graduate from the Philippine School of Culinary Arts in Cebu.

The restaurant boasts of a cozy ambiance and a cool open kitchen, which is intended to show customers how they prepare all their dishes with utmost cleanliness, organization, and quality.

When asked about their menu, Chef Barbra said “Our menu is globally inspired. If given the chance to open up a second restaurant, we want to do a “farm to table” dining/concept.” Carnivore comes with a small select menu, which changes every 2 weeks. This is because the owners want to make sure that they don’t overstock and can consistently use fresh ingredients for all their dishes.
