Southern Cebu is seeing its own share of developments. While we just discussed about the “Naga Valley Industrial Park To Bring In 20,000 Jobs” and the ongoing improvements such as roads and water systems, which you can read more about in our previous article, another commercial area is set to serve the community of San Fernando and nearby areas.
Muntuerto Management Development Corp. (MMDC), the company behind Big Brother Home Depot Inc., isn’t taking the slow route in expanding their business. From the hardware industry, MMDC has just recently entered the real estate arena with their soon-to-rise, South Park by Big Brother! Designed “to cater to small and medium-sized businesses looking into expansion in the fast developing South,” the center is both a commercial center providing a variety of services. As described in Sun.Star, it will have basic necessities such as a food court where you can find several concessionaires. There will also be “banquet spaces and function halls for celebrating occasions and milestones.”
One of the aims for South Park is to provide jobs to the workforce in the area, hoping to tap the “massive industrial workforce” there but the commercial area will also have apartments available for those who find employment there but do not currently reside nearby. Located in Barangay Panadtaran, the company recognizes that this newest development will not only give an economic boost to the town but also increase leisure while providing convenience to residents in the south of Cebu.
Construction of South Park by Big Brother is already underway and MMDC will operate the property independently.
