To celebrate two years of successful existence in the modeling and event productions industry, VAMP hosted a glamorous runway event featuring its very own models last December 12, 2012, at Club Maru.
The Ultimate Fusion
The December 12 runway event featured the famous shows involving VAMP Models for the year 2012. Specifically, the event was a fusion of VAMP’s Burlesque Fashion Show, Color My World Fashion Show and the Famous Victoria’s Secret Fashion. The Burlesque and Victoria’s Secret collections were by Gille while the Color My World collection was by VAMP model and fashion designer Yoko Sato.[nggallery id=51]
The Ultimate Fusion event also included a fashion show featuring the Prometheus-inspired collection of budding Cebuana designer Clieza Mayol. VAMP models Erika Nicole Ceniza and Nigel Munasque hosted the event.
As posted on their Facebook account, the reason the Vampees are doing this is because they want to thank the people who have been with them during the past two years. Plus, they also want to use this opportunity to be able to share their talents for the benefit of those who are less fortunate.
The VAMP models who participated in the Runway include Jeremay Buenaventura, Jasmin Marie Ylaya, Colette Jeanine Recuerdo Aniban, Darryl Faith Añover, Marj Montejo, Pinky Lariosa, Chris Chu, Crislie An Almario, Joye Bautista, and James Michael Bello. The event’s make-up artists were Jean Ong, Kael Hernandez Bontia, Shyra Qyumbi, Milan Alforque, and Leo Sanchez.
In between runways, the guests were treated to production numbers by Project Element and a number of games from various sponsors, including MOR 97.1, Olive C, Heart Tea, and Virginia. The hosts made a quick search for Mr. and Ms. Heart Tea. Among the guests, they picked males and females who appeared fit and representative of what Heart Tea is all about. These candidates were then asked to strut their stuff on the runway. The male and female candidates who garnered the loudest applause from the audience won the said titles for the night. There was also a beer drinking contest and a competition for males, specifically asking them to show off their abs to the audience. The winner for the best abs of the night, who was also chosen by way of applause, rightfully earned his reward as he danced with jest while he took off his shirt on stage.
The other sponsors for the event include Prints and More, IPI, Heart Tea, VIPS, Everything Cebu, Amazing Cebu, Hellohans Moviehouse, MR. M, Figola, Audinair, ISHOWCEBU, and Relentless Event Photographers.
The runway event was held at Club Maru, which is a lounge and dance club located at the second floor of the Bowling Plex Building of Gaisano County Mall in Banilad, Cebu City. The entrance fee for the said event was Php200 with one free beer. Proceeds will go to charity.

Everything Cebu sat down with Kenneth while the 12-12-12 event was still in the planning process. Kenneth shared how excited he was to celebrate the successful year that was for VAMP but at the same time how he was anxious about the world ending on the same date. Well, Ken, here we are today and fortunately for us, your fears where for not. Nonetheless, had it been true then, it would have been your audiences’ most enjoyable last night on Earth.
Kudos to another memorable event with VAMP and cheers to more years of Vamp-ing!
