To add enthusiasm to the holiday spirit, Steps Dance Project and Ayala Center Cebu present a delightful Christmas ballet concert entitled “Pepe’s Secret Ballet Christmas” on December 1, 2012, at the Terraces.”
The all-original Filipino musical production is led by Sofia Zobel Elizalde. Directed by SSF Project Director James M. Laforteza and written by Floy Quintos, it is set in a Filipino fantasy land. The top dance scholars of the Steps Scholarship Foundation (SSF) will showcase their talents and bring the wonderful script to life. The “Pepe’s Secret Ballet Christmas” production team held a media huddle at the Laguna Garden, Ayala Center Cebu on November, 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. Elizalde, Laforteza, designer Gino Gonzales, and the show’s choreographers answered the media’s questions and further explained their Christmas musical.
Steps Dance Studio is one of the most innovative and artistic professional dance studios in the Philippines. The studio was founded in 1994 by Elizalde, who is also Step’s managing director. It prides on their state-of-the-art facilities and well-trained dance instructors. It is designed to provide its students a perfect learning environment.
Aiming to “cultivate individuality and talent, joy of dance, and good work ethic in its students,” Steps offers a wide range of dance courses targeting different age groups and levels of ability. Steps is known for producing fun and entertaining dance concerts. In the past, it showcased exemplary dance interpretations of classic Filipino Christmas songs and excerpts from The Nutcracker, Peter Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet.
The school’s three spacious and well-equipped studios are also open for rental. They can be used for mini-shows, production rehearsals, photo shoots, auditions, go-sees, cocktails, and other private functions. All three studios have spacious lounge areas, clean dressing rooms with showers for male and female, free clean purified water, and bulletin boards. They are equipped with full mirrors, proper floors, ballet bars, sound systems, A/C systems, and pianos. There are snack bars selling sodas, freshly brewed coffee and other drinks.

Steps Dance Project is a dance management group that handles the dance-performance requirements of different events.
