1 IT’S THE FIRST OF IT’S KIND
Gugmang Giatay is the first Bisrock Jukebox Musical, based from the book by Rowell Ucat aka Medyo Maldito and Jude Gitamondoc, produced by 2TinCans Philippines and written and directed by Offbeat Concepts Production House.
2 BECAUSE IT’S IN BISAYA!
It is a comedic love story interpreted into a musical that’s delivered in our own native tongue, Cebuano/Bisaya – a beautiful dialect we must promote and be proud of! (Okay, I know this blog isn’t written in our dialect – but hey we also want our non-Cebuano/Bisaya readers to know about this play too, hehe! Please forgive us and read on)
3 #SUPPORTLOCALMUSIC
This musical stage play features iconic songs from our very own homegrown bands and local artists namely: Missing Filemon, Aggressive Audio, The Ambassadors, Phylum, Wet Slipperz, Assemby Language, Rommel Tuico, Cattski, VISPOP and many more! Oh, and speaking of VisPop, this year’s champion, Lourdes Maglinte (in center of poster above), will be playing “Inday”, the lead role of this romcomedy musical.
4 LOVE & LAUGHTER!!!
It’ll give you a totally new kink & kick on your Friday night and Saturday! This is surely an event you do not want to miss out on. Truly, laughter and love is always best when shared, so bring along your family and friends and sing-along to these Bisaya hits. WARNING: Symptoms of post-GugmangGiatay includes a malignant case of LSS (Last Song Syndrome). If symptoms persists, allow it.
5 THIS LAST REASON NEEDS NO WORDS
