A Fun Overnight at Lambug Beach, Badian!

It was a hot afternoon when I and my office mates decided to go for a trip to the south. We just wanted to go to a place where we could enjoy a relaxing overnight stay, and we thought Lambug Beach in Badian was the perfect spot for a paradise-like adventure.

On September 6, 2014, at exactly 4:00 PM, our trip began. We first rode a bus with a Cebu-Bato (via Barili) route, which cost us 117 pesos each. We asked the conductor to drop us to the drop-off point on the way to Cebu International Golf and Resort. From there, we then had to ride a tricycle to Lambug Beach for 25 pesos each.

We reached Lambug Beach Resort at exactly 8:00 PM, and went directly to Aragon’s Brother which is a privately owned resort where we didn’t have to pay any entrance fee. We rented a cottage with a videoke machine that cost 750 pesos. To use the videoke machine, we needed to put 2 pesos for every 2 songs. Not bad 😉

Although we arrived at night, we could really feel the very fine sand as we walked along the seashore. We swam the cold waters and sang our hearts out while drinking, which you can easily buy by the way in the resort’s small liquor store. Lambug is indeed a perfect place for couples and groups. It’s not crowded at all. In fact, there was only one group who also spent the night there aside from us.

If it’s almost perfect in the evening, wait until you see the sunrise in the morning. It was magnificent and breathtaking! The sand was so white and fine! The waters were so blue! And the weather was so fine that it made everything perfect on that day. That day was indeed perfect for an enjoyable swim in the sea, but then we had to go home.

Going home was rather easy for tricycles are readily available right outside the resort. We hired one to bring us to the Librando terminal, which is 10-15 minutes away only from Lambug. The fare was 30 pesos each, and upon reaching the terminal, we then had to ride a multicab to take us to Moalboal where we would finally ride a v-hire back to the city, particularly to the Citilink terminal. The fares for the multicab and the v-hire were 20 pesos and 100 pesos, respectively.

Here are some of the fun photos we took during our Lambug adventure!

If you are also planning to enjoy an overnight stay in the beautiful Lambug beach in Badian, here are additional details you should keep in mind:

  • You can bring your own tents for a free accommodation, but if you want to stay in a room, you could easily search online for overnight accommodation options within the resort.
  • Know that one tricycle can accommodate up to 7 people.
  • You can always haggle with drivers to pay lesser fares. The multicab ride, for example, can cost 20 pesos each from the original offer, which is 30 pesos. 😉
  • A one way trip to or from Badian would take around 4 hours with heavy traffic.
  • For food expenses, you can chip in within your group to save. In our case, we gave 200 pesos each to buy our own food and drinks before going to the resort. However, for your bathing essentials, there’s a small store in the resort where you can easily buy shampoo, soap, and what not.
  • The contact numbers of the resort we stayed in are 0943-258-1376/ 0926-420-9351.
  • Room rate for an overnight stay is usually 2,000 pesos (good for 10 pax).

If there’s another group will come in they will ask you to leave even if it’s not time. They will accomodate even if you are already the first one using it.
