Likewise, he is an author of various tax books including Value Added Tax in the Philippines (co-authored with Atty. Deoferio), Reviewer in Taxation, Philippine Income Tax, and Taxpayers’ Rights and Remedies.

He has served as past president, chairman and active member of various organizations and committees such as the Tax Management Association of the Philippines, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Court of Tax Appeals Committee to Revise the Rules of Court, among others.  He is a member of the Philippine Bar and a Certified Public Accountant.
