Cebu, are you ready to be a champion?

LH Paragon Group of Companies is a Cebu-based group engaged in various industries in the Philippines. Its philanthropic arm, LH Foundation, Inc., is one that “envisions a progressive community with access to spiritual growth formation, quality education and a healthy environment for its many constituents.” According to the company’s profile, it “started with the philanthropic activities of its founders who strived hard to attain a vision of success with honor characterized by their sense of responsibility, life purpose and love for God.”

In line with their vision, Cebu-based LH Foundation will be hosting a leadership conference on July 27, 2012. The conference entitled “Be a Champion” will feature popular speakers in the Filipino sports scene. These speakers include Dyan Castillejo, Paolo Abrera, Suzi Entrata-Abrera, the Philippine Azkals, and Coach Dan Palami.

The 46-year old Dyan Castillejo formerly represented the Philippines in the Fed Cup, which is a premier international team tennis event for women. She has since earned repute for being a sports interviewer and a host for a number of televisions programs, including The World Tonight and Sports Unlimited.

The Abreras are considered a power couple in the world of sports and broadcasting. Paolo is a triathlete, who is currently hosting Green Living TV and Mornings@ANC, both television programs air on the ABS-CBN News Channel. Suzi is a host for a number of GMA’s morning tv shows and the spokesperson for Children’s Hour, among others.

The Azkals is the Philippine National Football Team, comprised of Neil Etheridge, Patrick Deyto, Eduard Sacapaño, Rob Gier, Jason Sabio, Dennis Cagara, Carli de Murga, Roxy Dorlas, Jerry Lucena, James Younghusband, Misagh Bahadoran, Ángel Guirado, Andres Gonzales, Patrick Reichelt, Jason de Jong, Paul Mulders, Marwin Angeles, Lexton Moy, Jeffrey Christiaens, Phil Younghusband, Denis Wolf, Ian Araneta       , and OJ Clariño. Cebuano goalkeeper Paolo Pascual is among those listed in the most recent called up for the Philippines. Coach Palami is the team’s manager.

According to the wires, there are ongoing talks involving Coach Palami and the Cebu Football Community regarding hosting a friendly game between the Azkals and another dominant football team. Proposals that the friendly will be played at the Cebu City Sports Center this coming November 2012 are being discussed.

The LH Leadership Conference 2012 is for the benefit of the Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Alumni Association. The event will take place at the Oakridge Pavilion of Oakridge Business Park, A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City.

LH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2012 AT OAKRIDGE BUSINESS PARK

The LH Foundation Inc. will hold its LH Leadership Conference 2012 entitled “Be a Champion” on July 27 at the Oakridge Pavilion of Oakridge Business Park, A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City.

This will be an afternoon learning session that will feature notable speakers who will discuss about the principles behind being a champion in life and living a healthy and active lifestyle.

The speakers for this year’s Conference are former Wimbledon and U.S. Open tennis player and sportscaster, Dyan Castillejo, who will talk about The Heart of a Champion; power couple in sports and in broadcast, Paolo and Suzi Abrera, who will share about Raising Champions; and the Philippine national football team, the Philippine Azkals, together with their team manager, Coach Dan Palami, who will expound about Building a Championship Team.

The LH Leadership Conference 2012 will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is organized by LH Foundation, with the net proceeds being donated for the benefit of the charity projects of the Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu Alumni Association (SHS-AAA).
