AIM (Achieve, Inspire, Motivate) Success and Development Plus presents “Winning Disciplines for Success” featuring Francis Kong. He will be in Cebu again on August 4, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Santa Maria Grand Ballroom of the Radisson Blu Hotel. Also at this event, Jay Jaboneta will speak on Reaching for a Higher Cause, while Lois Yasay will speak on Winning with Passion.

Francis J. Kong, who’s a prolific inspirational speaker featured in many major business conferences here and abroad, is a founder and director of Inspire Leadership Consultancy, the country’s top motivational and learning events company. Inspire’s passion is to inspire personal, professional and social excellence through various learning environments.

Maximum Impact (of Atlanta, Georgia) trained and licensed Francis Kong to do John Maxwell’s leadership program, as Inspire was appointed as an exclusive licensee of that program. In fact, Francis Kong was a co-recipient of the Anvil Award for Excellence, for the staging of the John Maxwell Leadership Seminar Series.

Mr. Kong was also trained to do the Zig Ziglar sales and motivation programs, by the Ziglar Corporation in London. Inspire was awarded an exclusive license in 2007 for the best-selling author and sales motivational speaker’s programs.

Francis Kong can be heard on the daily radio program Business Matters, which was given a year 2007 special citation by the Catholic Mass Media Awards. He also makes guest appearances on Thursday morning episodes of the TV program Umagang Kay Ganda.

In addition to being a speaker, Francis Kong is a writer with several books to his name. In particular, One Day at a Time received a favorable review from Channel News Asia of Singapore. Another one of his books, The Early Bird Catches the Worm, was even translated into Korean. Mr. Kong is president of Success Options Publishing Company, and he writes a Saturday and Sunday column for the business pages of the Philippine Star.

On June 12, 2011, Yahoo! Southeast Asia named Jay Jaboneta as one of its seven Modern-Day Filipino Heroes because of his involvement in Philippine Funds for Little Kids, now known as the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation. Schoolchildren from Layag-layag, Zamboanga, were the beneficiaries of the foundation’s efforts, and the story of their struggle to be able to go to school was covered by many local and international news organizations. In December 2011, the Yellow Boat project was named as an outstanding liberal project by the Philippine office of the German organization called the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty.

Jay Jaboneta was also honored as a Gawad Geny Lopez Jr. Bayaning Pilipino regional awardee, and he received a lifetime achievement award from the Damers and Clarions of Cotabato City, his hometown. Eton International School honored him with the Pillar of Hope Award. This humanitarian already gained the experience to speak convincingly on the topic “Reaching for a Higher Cause” despite his comparatively young age.

Working as a consultant on social media strategy and marketing for some companies and nonprofit organizations in the Philippines, Jay Jaboneta also regularly speaks on the topics of social media, digital technology and youth leadership. In January 2012, he spoke at TED x Montpellier in France and was the only Asian speaker invited to that event.

Lois Yasay, who describes herself as a “passionista” as well as a speaker, was a financial services trainer with more than five years of experience working for top organizations like General Motors and JP Morgan Chase before she quit the business so that she could focus on doing what she loves. Her greatest passion is for travel and appreciation of the world’s different cultures. In pursuit of this passion, she lived in cities like Manila, New York, Stuttgart, and Zurich.

She went on a six-month backpacking trip and documented her experience on the wearesolesisters.com travel blog, which she cofounded. This blog won in the 2011 Philippine Blog Awards, for Best Travel Blog. Her account of her travels went viral and was featured in Smile Cebu Pacific Airlines magazine.

Upon her return, she became part of Inspire Leadership Consultancy, to pursue another one of her passions, which is speaking. She is under the mentorship of Francis Kong. In January 2012, Lois Yasay became the first Filipino who was certified as a Passion Test facilitator. This test has been called the number one process for discovering one’s passions and life purpose.
