Cebu Dog Fest for a Cause 2012

Parkmall is hosting another dog extravaganza and its happening this September 15 and September 16, 2012. The Cebu Dog Fest & Dog Show (Fun Match) will be held this weekend at the entire West Wing of the mall, in front of the Samsung store.

The event is for the benefit of Island Rescue Organization Inc. It is presented by the Cebu South Dog Club Inc. coordinating with Cebu Shih Tzu Club, Cebu Rottweiler Verein and Cebu Siberian Empire, with Animal Kingdom Veterinary Clinic in partnership with Parkmall.

September 15 is reserved for seminars, which will be facilitated by Animal Kingdom Veterinary Clinic, Animal Welfare Week – BAI-R7, Animal Wellness Veterinary Clinic, Chow Chow Club of the Philippines Inc., and Wendell Sabile, among others.

On September 16, dog lovers will be treated to a number of shows and events.

Titled Dog Category (Judge: Wendell Sabile):
- Best Titled Dog – Both Gender (Category for any TITLED [any pedigree governing body like PCCI, ACKUPI, AKC, UKC, etc.] dogs such as CH, GR CH, HOF and the likes REGARDLESS of breed).

Best in All (open) Breed Category (Judge: Jay Lim):
- Best in All (open) Breed – pick of the best in both genders in the open class (winners in both gender; Small to Medium &Large to Giant Breed Category)

Best In Show – All Best in breed(Rottweiler, Shih-Tzu, Siberian Husky, All[open] Breed) will vie for the title “Cebu Dog Fest Fun Match – Best In Show” (Judge: Wendell Sabile)

*Titled dog/s (Champions, GR Champions, HOF, etc.) may enter the show but are only entitled to win in the “Titled Dog” category. As this is a “fun-match,” there is no specified dress code or attire for the dog handlers.

*For the purpose of this event, a puppy is defined as a dog that is aged 3 months to 1 year. Dogs younger than 3 months will not be accepted. Also, a “no vaccination record, no acceptance of entry” policy will be strictly implemented by the event organizers.

6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Awarding of prizes and certificates for the Dog Show
(These certificates, trophies and other surprises will be given by the event’s sponsors.)

IRO talk and acceptance of the generated fund, which will be presented by the Cebu South Dog Club Inc. and the organizers of “Cebu Dog Fest and Dog Show for a Cause 2012″ organizers.

Games for dogs and dog owners may be inserted in between each category as intermission depending on the availability of prizes. The categories, prizes and program indicated are subject to change without prior notice.
