PAREF Springdale for boys was established in 1996, when a group of parents came together with some teachers to set up the PAREF-Springdale community. The boys from its first batch of pre-school graduates were foreseen to need a school of their own, and so, PAREF Springdale School came into existence.
Springdale is presently the only all-males school in Cebu with an all-male faculty and personnel, which makes it distinct from other schools. Its executive director is Rie R. Ampiloquio, with affiliations by priests of the Prelature of Opus Dei. Springdale believes that a single-gender system provides more benefits in educating the young, especially of boys.
Springdale’s seal consists of an anchor and a vinta. The anchor signifies the school’s principles to instill firm values and ideals in each student, which they can apply during their growth stage. PAREF’s symbol, the vinta, is a strong Filipino boat. It signifies the educational philosophy commonly shared by schools that belong to the PAREF system.
PAREF Springdale is dedicated to fulfill their mission and is aiming to be a leading character formation academic institution in the south. The school believes that the best contribution they can give to the community, to the country, and to humankind is to produce well-rounded and principled individuals.
