Cebuano fashionistas are bracing themselves for the opening of one of the biggest retail stores from the United States. The third Forever 21 outlet here in the Philippines is going to occupy a big chunk of space at the second floor of SM Northwing.
Not only are the people looking forward to Forerver 21’s bold and chic clothes, shoes, makeup and accessories, they are also excited for the opening festivities. People will certainly flock the shop during the opening since the brand is known for its amazing discounts and freebies. It usually gives out discount coupons and gift cards, and holds exciting raffles. On November 18, make sure to come early so you will be one of the first 250 people to line up who will receive Php500 vouchers and gift packs (updated 11/17/11).
Forever 21, which was originally Fashion 21, was established by South Korean couple Dong-Won Chang and Jin Sook in Los Angeles California in 1984. The target market of the store then, which was only 900 square feet in size, was the Korean-American community. Other nationalities started noticing its stylish designs and in no time, its sales rose from $35,000 to $700,000 by the end of its first year. Because of its popularity, Fashion 21 quickly expanded, opening a new outlet every six months.
The popular brand also has several stores in Canada, Europe and Asia. It already has over 400 stores worldwide. The other two Forever 21 outlets in the Philippines are located in Manila, specifically in SM Mall of Asia and SM Makati.
