12th Cebu Franchise Expo
Cebu will once again host one of the biggest franchise exhibits in the Philippines. This marks the 12th year of the Cebu Franchise Expo and the organizers guarantee a more profitable event to both exhibitors and guests. Organized by the Filipino International Franchise Association (FIFA), headed by franchising expert Rudolf Kotik, the expo will be on March 2 to March 4, 2012, at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall.
The Cebu Franchise Expo this year will have a total of 70 booths, which will be occupied by a mix of new and returning participants. Some of the established businesses from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao that would be showcasing their franchise packages are RK Franchise Consultancy, O’Hair Salon, Botoy’s, Julie’s Bakeshop, myface ‘n mynails salon, Figaro Coffee Systems, Aficionado German Perfume, Bubi Trampoline, Generika Drugstore, Tubo Cane, Real Health, Mandarin Tea Garden, Remarkable Laundry, Precious Herbal Pillow, Skin City, Scents and Blends, Sweet Corner, Mr. Inkcredible, Jolliant Foods, SEAOIL, Shaomai Dimsum, Living Water, Crystal Clear, Mimi’s Lechon, Concept Specialist, Penong’s Barbecue, Sun Life Financial, Fresh Salon and Spa, The Fap Bar, Transfer IT, and other promising businesses.
This event offers a number of benefits for its exhibitors. First, it provides a great opportunity for companies to present their expertise to interested national growth markets; over 10,000 visitors not just from Cebu but from other neighboring provinces are expected to attend the event. With the multi-media promotional campaign that the franchise expo makes use of, exhibitors get the maximum exposure. Print, television, radio, and Web advertisements will surely generate more attendance in the event, which may translate to franchise sales.
A lot of experts consider face-to-face selling as the most effective approach to produce and close sales. Through this expo, businesses can effectively showcase their products and services to thousands of prospective buyers who have the means to invest. On the other hand, people who are planning to buy a franchise could easily narrow down their choices because the prospective businesses are already in one venue.
Everybody is invited to the 12th Cebu Franchise Expo, which will take place at SM City Cebu’s Trade Hall, during mall hours. With no entrance fee, get introduced to over 200 franchise prospects. The event is made possible by PLDT SME Nation, LBC Solutions, FranchisingPH, FranchisingPH magazine, the Franchise Web portal www.franchise.ph, Sun.Star Cebu, The Freeman, Cebu Daily News, Business Mirror, and Mindanao Business Week.

Rudolf Kotik and FIFA
In a press conference, Kotik said that the franchise industry in the Philippines is growing as more companies are considering the prospect of franchising their businesses. This is a good sign because despite the competition in the market, businesses continue to grow and improve their products and services to be on top. He further explained that proprietors understand that competition is normal and that they still recognize that more people continue to seek for franchises because Cebu is not yet congested.
Kotik is an experienced franchising consultant who runs RK Franchise Consultancy, a leading franchise consulting firm in the country. He has been in the business for 33 years and has been successful in three continents. He was able to develop more than 400 Filipino companies into franchise systems. He is the founder of FIFA, a nonprofit group, which is composed mostly of his clients, he established in 2005.
Through his company and FIFA, Kotik has led the yearly Cebu Franchise Expo since 2000. He is also the brains behind the annual Mindanao Franchise Expo, which will be on its sixth year this October 2012, and which will be opening in Cagayan de Oro City.
When he set up a shop in Cebu City in 1996, and concentrated in the Visayas and Mindanao region, the 52-year-old consultant has helped Filipino businesses to start and grow. This just proves that businesses outside Manila do flourish.
