John Mangun is a licensed stock broker who has actively analyzed and traded on the Philippine Stock Exchange since 1989. He worked for two major Wall Street firms and became the head of foreign exchange trading for a British asset management company in England. When he returned to the United States of America, he formed his own investment advisory company.

Since 1996, he has been a regular newspaper columnist who writes about the Philippine economy, business and stock market.
