Kaoná Grill is a specialty restaurant that offers people a taste of flavor-rich grilled delicacies, including pork, beef, chicken, and seafood. Found along A. S. Fortuna Street within the area of Mandaue in Cebu, this place also serves non-grilled dishes among other enticing treats. More importantly, the seafood treats are really quite good, such as the tuna belly, blue marlin and many other fish varieties.

This Cebu restaurant certainly serves sumptuous and juicy grilled meat full of rich flavors. For the chance to enjoy a nice selection of its tasty specialties, be sure to come to this place with a budget of at least 500 pesos, although sometime before, the restaurant did have a Groupon deal where it offered Php500 worth of food for just Php250, for a party of three (maximum).

For something particularly mouthwatering, why not have a taste of the rotisserie-cooked pork belly supplied by Cebu’s Original Lechon Belly? It has crunchy skin on the outside as well as tender and juicy meat on the inside. Another dish you might appreciate that also has pork in it is the crispy kare-kare, which the restaurant added to its menu for 2012. Kaoná Grill put an audacious spin on the classic Filipino dish by putting crisp deep-fried cutlets of pork (instead of the traditional oxtail, beef, tripe, or offal) side by side with a savory peanut-flavored sauce and assorted vegetables.

Another in-house specialty is the grilled bangus, which is basically milkfish grilled to perfection by the skilled restaurant staff. This particular dish is served with a special sauce that is guaranteed to satisfy even the tastes of picky customers. Of course, the grilled chicken is simply irresistible, thanks to its appetizing flavor and rich taste.

For people who dig veggies, Kaoná Grill in Cebu designed a number of special vegetable recipes too. One of these delicacies is grilled eggplant, which can be served with egg if you’re not exclusively vegetarian. Other vegetable-based dishes you could enjoy are pineapple rice, kangkong salad, adobong kangkong and pinakbet.

In its past participation in Groupon, Kaoná Grill also offered  a package deal priced at Php210 instead of Php420 for calamares (squid rings dipped in batter and deep-fried), a barbecue basket (two large servings of barbecue served with rice) and four bottles of beer, again for a maximum of three customers per table. Along with their appetizers, Groupon holders chose their four bottles from the local beers available, including San Miguel Super Dry, San Mig Strong Ice, and San Mig flavored beers.

Kaoná Grill is located at A. S. Fortuna Street corner Hernan Cortes Street, within the Mandaue area in Cebu. Because of this Cebu restaurant’s strategic location, customers dining there are not very far away from lodging establishments in the A. S. Fortuna area that include Oftana Suites, The Orchard Cebu Hotel & Suites, and Allure Hotel. The restaurant operates from Monday to Saturday, starting from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. then from 6 p.m. until 12 midnight, so it’s open for lunch and dinner plus coffee or drinks. Furthermore, it also offers ample buffets as well as catering services for different special occasions like birthdays, office parties, or wedding receptions.
