Anton’s Brew
Anton’s Brew Café and Diner is a perfect venue to hang out with family and friends in Cebu City. Whether you’re up for a delicious meal or just coffee and dessert, you will definitely love this place.
Anton’s, which is named after the owners’ youngest son, opened their doors on October 10, 2010, which date was specifically selected because they believe that 10-10-10 is lucky. Considering the flock of customers, especially during lunchtime, luck is definitely on their side.
Initially, the target market of the business only comprised of the students of the nearby school and the occupants of the pension house located above the café. Their clientele has gradually grown as more people started coming because of their great offerings and free Wi-Fi.
This chill-out café is a product of the family’s passion for cooking and eating. “Every weekend, our family eats out so we thought maybe we can venture into a business that we all love,” Mrs. Lim told Everything Cebu. Before the café opened, the family was already into the food business, starting out with a stall that offered fruit shakes and slurps.
Anton’s boasts of affordable, yet appetizing meals and snacks. They are most especially proud of their Beef Steak Tagalog (Php 65), Beef with Broccoli (Php 70), Gambas (Php 70), and Grilled Tangigue (Php 100). All-day breakfast meals, which include a serving of rice and egg, are also a hit. Their homemade Beef Tapa (Php 65), Tocino
(Php 55) and Corned Beef (Php 65) are definitely must-try meals. They also serve a number of pasta dishes and sandwiches.
If you still have room for dessert, tingle your taste buds with some delectable ice cream, crepe or cake. They are famous for their Banana Boat that only costs Php 55. You may also choose from their wide array of slurps and coffee blends.
The owners of Anton’s combine luck with hard work as they try to maintain the high quality of their food and service to give their customers reasons to come back.
The café, which is open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., is located at the corner of Ma. Christina Extension and Jose Avila Street, Cebu City, near Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus. For inquiries and deliveries, you may call (032) 238-4712 or 316-1289.
