Al Fresco dining is getting popular in Cebu. Al fresco which is Italian phrase for ‘in the cool air’ is a style of dining where people eat casually outdoors. Because Al fresco dining is comfortable and perfect for nature-appreciation, a lot of restaurants in Cebu adopted the style and incorporated Al fresco dining to their current setup.
Here are some of the restaurants you can spot around Cebu where you can dine Al Fresco.
1. Manggahan Restaurant, Lahug
This cozy restaurant serves delightful dishes for cheaper prizes. If you’re wondering: why the name? That can be explained by the mango tree just at the back of the resto.
In Manggahan, you have the option to eat inside or outside, and since we’re talking about Al fresco dining, we highly recommend you dine outside the restaurant.
Very Cebuano – that’s how we can describe Manggahan. Their menu consists of: Palami, Utan, Sud-an, Pansit, Sugbahunon, Gikan sa Dagat, Hito, Sabaw and Hinam-is just as stated.

2. La Vie Parisienne, Lahug
The trademark pink cherry blossom lights from La Vie Parisienne did the trick and now, they’re getting more Cebuanos to visit the place.
La Vie Pariessine translated Parisian Life is owned by the Lhuilliers. It is not only for wine lovers but also for those who want to experience France with the food and the picture-worthy Al Fresco setting.
From Quezon City, La Vie Pariesienne conquered Cebu quickly with their products, although they’re quite pricey.

3. Circa 1900, Lahug
What was once a colonial house is now a restaurant where culture and history meets. Basically, Circa 1900 is a fusion of classy and homey.
Circa 1900 also impresses customers with the use of local products and ingredients from their own backyard garden.
Before we forget, the wide space in front of the house is perfect for Al Fresco dining.

4. Lantaw Native Restaurant, South Road Properties
When Lantaw opened a new branch in SRP, there was an influx of Cebuanos eager to dine in the strategic place just a few meters from Kasadya sa SRP. Since people from the South don’t have to travel far for the popular resto, you probably need a reservation to make sure you’ll be accommodated.
A quick trivia: Lantaw and Thirsty are owned by the same person.
If you’re planning to dine in Lantaw SRP, just make sure that the weather’s good because some seats are not sheltered by umbrellas so the rain may ruin your experience.
