Julie’s Bakeshop has a new line of summer products, which it officially introduced last April 19, 2013, at its Gorordo Branch.
Mrs. Julia Gandionco, who is more popularly known as Tita Julie, opened her first ever bakeshop in January 1981. Since then, the brand has grown to become the largest bakeshop chain in the country. Six months after opening their flagship store, Julie’s Bakeshop opened its second store. Three years later, there would be ten (10) Julie’s Bakeshops operating all over Cebu City.
The first branch outside Cebu opened in Iloilo City, in 1988. Julie’s Bakeshop also began its nationwide expansion campaign by opening itself to franchises. The first full franchise opened in Mambajao, in Camiguin, in 1998. By the year 1999, there were already 210 Julie’s Bakeshop branches all over the Philippines. Now, it has over 500 branches nationwide with plans of opening stores abroad, particulary in other Southeast Asian countries.
