A decade into the business, Cydelicious is introducing two interesting twists to the usual roasted chicken treat. In addition to their original lechon manok, the family-owned business now offers boneless varieties stuffed with surprise ingredients.
Cydelicious is named after the three daughters of Mr. Esmael Demecillo, who all have “Cyd” in their given names: Cyd Eshemee, Cydthishamee and Cydthealee. Mr. Demecillo had no formal knowledge in culinary arts, but it was his love for food and his meticulous flair for taste that led him to venture into the food business.
Way back in 2002, Mr. Demecillo and his wife spearheaded the business, with Mr. Demecillo taking full charge of the flavoring and seasoning of the chicken. It took him about a year to perfect the distinctive taste of his lechon manok, to which impressed customers undeniably flock. At one point, an interested businessman, who had the same business as theirs, wanted to buy his recipe. They realized that their love for their business meant more than anything else, aside from their family, so they strongly declined the offer and went on to nurture their business instead.
During their earlier years, they did not have a name for their business, but such a lot of people began to recognize their place that before long, they thought it best to christen their “baby.” In 2011, they finally named their business, Cydelicious. That same year, Mr. Demecillo also made a significant decision to give his three (3) daughters full control and responsibility to take care of their business. The Demecillo children, who now operate the business, believe they owe it to their father to continue nurturing the establishment and make their prized lechon manok known to a greater population.
These young entrepreneurs’ dedication to make their business more successful looks promising as ever. With resolute determination to continue their father’s legacy, they began trading ideas to make their lechon products more lucrative. They decided to introduce varieties of stuffed boneless lechon manok into their menu. With the help of their family friend who is good at making boneless chicken, their perfectly seasoned roasted chicken immediately clicked with curious lechon manok lovers.
Cydelicious’ two new additions of roasted chicken delights are the Boneless Chicken with Flavored Rice Stuffing and the Boneless Chicken with Sisig Stuffing. That sounds interesting and yummy, right?
The Boneless Chicken with Flavored Rice Stuffing is an instant hit because the chicken is perfectly seasoned and marinated. Unlike other roasted chickens, which lose most of their flavors and succulence, Cydelicious can boast of their roasted chickens that retain their juiciness and savory taste. Plus, the roasted chicken’s flavorful taste seeps into the chicken’s flesh, not just on the outside skin. This is because they internally marinate their chicken. In fact, you can gorge on the roasted chicken without the use of condiments to enhance a particular flavor. Even the juice that is squeezed right out of the roasted chicken could be doused on the rice due to its bursting flavors.
The Boneless Chicken with Sisig Stuffing also got an overwhelming response when it was introduced last March 2012. Customers are raving about it because it is like having two viands at one sitting, and all at a very affordable price.
This fresh and innovative concept was certainly an attention-grabber especially for gastronomes, who are yet unfamiliar with stuffed roasted boneless chicken. If your curiosity is tweaked to its limits, then you must try their interesting delights at once.
