In the outskirts of Mandaue City, Cebu, is a coffee shop named Café Volere. A lot of coffee shops are proliferating in the different cities of Cebu, but what is amazing behind Café Volere’s success is the young entrepreneur behind it.
Café Volere came into existence in April 2007. It is owned and operated by then 22-year-old Kingsley Ko. As a CIE Business Administration student, one of his course requirements involved putting up and operating his own business. Setting up a coffee shop seemed the most logical choice for Kingsley, thus Café Volere was born.
Café Volere is an Italian-inspired coffee shop. The word “Volere” means “like” or “to want” in Italian.
The cafe serves more than just your usual plain coffee. It offers a wide variety of food, such as pasta, pizza, macaroni, and selected pastries. Its lasagna is delightfully delicious, with its cheesy meat-filled pasta, topped with oregano seasoning.
Café Volere also serves hot and iced coffee drinks in very affordable prices. Flavors include: Americano, Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, and White Mochaccino. Blended drinks or smoothies of various flavors like Strawberry, Caramel, Cookies & Cream, Green Tea, are also available.
The cafe is a popular hang out, especially for business and study groups, since it is already a Wi-Fi Internet zone.
There are two branches of Café Volere at the North Road Plaza Bldg. along the National Highway in Mandaue City. The coffee shop has also launched a branch in Rustan’s Supermarket Ayala.
