I’ve heard of Burger King before from a friend who was a big fan of burgers. So, when Burger King opened its doors to Cebuanos (finally!) I was just as excited as many of you.
However, it was only recently that I got to actually try the popular Whopper. For someone who can’t really stand a meal without rice, I was amazed to find myself full and satisfied after eating a junior whopper.
I guess Burger King’s reputable burger patties are responsible for their fame. The pure meat is rich and the toppings just go together so well.
Anyways, sometimes only when we know the origin of something can we truly appreciate it. Let us give you a quick background of how Burger King started.
Burger King is a Florida-based restaurant chain formerly called Insta-Burger King. However, the business didn’t go so well that two franchisees purchased it and renamed it Burger King.
The two also added in their menu the Whopper sandwich which is now the signature of the restaurant.
As for the price, the Php99 for a junior whopper, fries and drinks was worth it. You just got to try it and see for yourself!
Burger King is located at 4/F Ayala Center Cebu.
