My friends and I have one thing in common – we have a habit to wait for a hype to die down before trying it out ourselves.
As you can remember, Bucket Shrimps was all over the social networking site Facebook for months, and it was almost a year after that that we decided to visit and dine in the place.
Last August, we had a birthday suprise planned at Bucket Shrimps. We asked one of our friends to reserve the place before we arrived there and it was just funny that a group of customers sat in our reserved table. The crew thought the group were us and sang Happy Birthday while we were just steps away from our seat. The crew’s friendly, that’s my point here. They also offered us eggs but unfortunately, they realized they ran out of stocks.
We really enjoyed the shrimps and although there were about ten of us, we weren’t able to finish two buckets because they’re just too many for us.
The sauce of the shrimp was very good – a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The shrimps are big too.
The location’s not so strategic though because it’s just across the popular S.T.K bai and did I mention how we got lost? Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the shrimps, and we suggest you go there with a group. Go there on a weekday or reserve seats just in case.
It was also nice that the owner was there. He chatted with us and even joined us in a photo. The man shared that it was difficult to get customers, at first, but when the good feedback started to spread by word of mouth, a lot of customers came in no time.
Don’t forget to take a photo with your group or partner wearing their cute paper bibs!
