Cebu IT Park, which is a trendsetter as a master-planned, integrated community that offers a complete live-work-play experience, opened some new retail stores, including Army Navy, Yellow Cab, Starbucks, and C24, in eBloc 2. The modern sixteen-level office building is in IT Park Phase 2, and it can be reached through Salinas Drive, Banilad Road or San Miguel Barangay Road.
Yellow Cab Pizza, the innovative casual restaurant known for New York–style pizzas with generous portions of toppings made with super fresh ingredients, offered pizza lovers a healthier alternative to their usual choices, with their fourth Cebu branch, which opened in July 2012 at eBloc 2. Yellow Cab is also affiliated with a sister restaurant known as Army Navy Burger + Burrito.
Army Navy is a restaurant that specializes in a unique burger + burrito concept. The restaurant’s specialties are its hamburgers and burritos, with a military motif. Army Navy Burger + Burrito will typically install its distinctive Quonset arc design over its store counters. Diners come in hungry and walk out happy when they try out—if they are tough enough—the Bully Boy Burger, Starving Sailor Sandwich, Fearless Fried Chicken, Freedom Fries, steak burrito, and Libertea (iced tea), which are made big enough for a burly battalion member. The menu items tend to have names that might not be out of place in a song or poem about the military. Army Navy is located at the ground floor of eBloc 2 near the Avida showroom and is open 9 a.m. to 12 midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
As it is committed to increasing the availability of high-quality arabica coffee all over the world, Starbucks also opened another retail store that continues its business of serving delicious coffee beverages along with commuter-friendly sandwiches and pastries. With this store now brewing, Starbucks has two separate outlets located in IT Park where people can come together over coffee.
Chicken Charlie, another concept store that also opened in July, is the number 1 double-fried chicken restaurant franchise in the Philippines. They serve fried chicken made through a Korean method of cooking chicken that is unlike anything done in the Philippines. The chicken is brushed with a signature soy-garlic sauce and served with pickled radish for a distinctly Asian flavor. Chicken Charlie’s operating hours are 9 a.m. to 12 midnight, and you may call the store at telephone number (032)266-9779.
Established in 2003, C24 Food Mart is a one-stop convenience store where people can hang out and relax with friends while they eat siopao, siomai or other snacks. Customers can have plenty of things that they might need in just one shop. C24 is open 24/7/365, even on holidays, so people can simply drop by a C24 branch and the store staff will be there to help them with whatever they need.
C24 has a number of locations in the heart of Cebu City, including a prior branch in IT Park’s eBloc 1 Tower on Jose Maria del Mar Street, its main Mabolo branch on Juan Luna Avenue (also known as San Jose de la Montaña Avenue), and another branch on The Strip, in Capitol Site. The telephone number for C24’s IT branch 2 is (032)401-0098. C24 has a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/C24-Foodmart/121291171266078 where you may find some information about the convenience store chain and its other branch locations.
As the follow-up to the first eBloc tower that was completed in 2009, eBloc 2 is a prime location for business process outsourcing, information technology, and ITES business locators. Aside from Army Navy, Yellow Cab, Chicken Charlie, Starbucks, and C24, other concept stores are going to serve the dining public in the months to come. For the last quarter of 2012, Cha Time and David’s Kitchen were each expected to open an outlet at eBloc 2.
If you prefer tea over Starbucks coffee, then you might want to visit Cha Time, whose slogan is “good tea good time.” It serves freshly made tea and has about five hundred locations worldwide. David’s Kitchen is connected with David’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant, at 14 F. Cabahug Street, Mabolo, Cebu City. David’s in Mabolo serves rib-eye steak and all-you-can-eat Angus cowboy steak and is also proud of its desserts, cakes and pastries.
