Anzani Restaurant brings a taste of New Mediterranean cuisine to Cebu. Owned by couple Chef Marco and Kate Anzani, it serves a unique type of cuisine described as a blend of coastal Mediterranean flavors, basically consisting of tomatoes, olives, chickpeas, herbs, lemon, and cheese.
Situated in Nivel Hills, Anzani boasts of a posh and fascinating ambiance. Whether you aim to impress or have a wonderful celebration, this establishment won’t disappoint. They offer superb lunch and dinner set menu, complete with appetizer, main course and dessert. How does Beef Tender Fazzoletti, Grilled Fillet of Pompano Fish or Greek Spinach Pie with Feta Cheese for lunch sound? Among the mouthwatering dinner choices are the Herb Crusted Cream Dory Triangles Fillet, Herb Crusted Medallions of U.S. Angus Beef, Spiced Moroccan Organic Young Red Pick Chicken, and Seared Ostrich Escalope. They also offer a food and wine pairing menu for a perfect balance of flavors.
For a very exclusive mood, you may stay at their wine cellar. Only good for 10 people, it is an underground room surrounded by 1,250 bottles of wines. The guests get to comfortably stay at the center of the wine cellar. It will be an intimate experience that you and your close friends would not want to miss. Another amazing area is the Bellini champagne bar, which is an open-air bar that showcases a lavish vertical garden waterfall. It offers a wide array of champagnes and champagne cocktails.
Anzani is specifically proud of their “red plate” degustation, where Chef Marco prepares his signature dishes. Their degustation dinner ranges from Php1,500 (tasting degustation) to Php3,500 (6-7 courses) per head. Recognized by the New York Times as one of the pioneers of New Mediterranean Cuisine, Chef Marco has tons of tricks up his sleeves that never fail to amaze his guests.
Chef Marco has been in the food industry for 25 years and has visited 18 countries. His wife, Kate, who is a change-agent and entrepreneur, has a bachelor's degree in restaurant business and catering events management from Le Cordon Bleu.
