Known as a world-class exporter of home and furniture accessories, Minor was uncertain at first. “I will tell you frankly I have never made a crown in my life. In fact I was hesitant to take the job because I have never done that before. Since they were right in saying it would mean something special coming from a former Ms. Cebu so I made myself do it,” Minor said.

Although the Cebu City Tourism Commission gave her a limited time, which was only a few days before Christmas, it didn’t take her long to do the piece since she already had the materials available in her factory in Lapu-Lapu. She went crazy with the rhinestones and zirconium, lavishly filling the crown’s core that was shaped by hand. The former Ms. Cebu was proud of her creation and she believed that whoever would wear it would love it. She found it satisfying to make something she would wear herself. Indeed, Faridoon looked more dashing with the one-of-a-kind headpiece.
