People in Cebu who want their natural beauty to shine can head over to D’ Beauty Wonderland (D’BW), a hair and beauty salon intended by its owner to be a place where beauty is not expensive. With this Capitol Site salon’s up-to-date beauty-enhancing gadgets and well-trained staff, you can look and feel gorgeous without having to spend so much.

The owner and general manager, Daisy Gazelle Mabanto, who has been known to say that your hair can either make you or break you, founded her business establishment on June 28, 2009. She held a blessing of her refurbished salon in 2010. The blessing rites for the salon were led by Rev. Fr. To celebrate its second anniversary, June 28, 2011, D’BW offered some attractive and tempting deals for the month of June, with discounts on all major hair services. It also presented a 5+1 free promo on extreme hair rebonding, semi-rebonding, hot-oil treatment, and hair spa. Extreme hair rebonding included a free haircut and cellophane colors, while hot-oil and hair-spa services included free manicure or pedicure. Also for its anniversary, the salon was giving away two free hair rebond treatments to some lucky clients.

D’BW also came up with a promo in which clients could bring a friend to avail of certain services that are termed as its Wonder Treatments. For every friend that a client brings, he or she could get the same service for free.

One of the services prominently featured is called the Brazilian blowout, which can be thought of as a permanent blow-dry treatment. For a very reasonable price, you can avail of this hot innovative procedure with a takeout treatment that’s good for the next three to four months. Hair rebonding (with milk, ginger, or aloe vera, for hair of any length) plus free cellophane treatment is also offered.

Depending on the product used, the price for hair rebonding varies. One type of rebonding makes use of a product from Italy. Another type uses a Matrix brand product and is somewhat more expensive. A normal perm basically requires the perm solution only, while a digital perm uses a different solution plus heat, thus the name “hot perm” that some hairstylists use for the procedure. The big difference between other perms and a digital perm is the shape and texture of the wave that the digital perm creates. A normal or cold perm makes the hair most wavy when it is wet and loosely wavy when the hair dries. A digital perm, on the other hand, makes the wave most prominent when the hair is dry and loose when the hair is wet. It often takes longer than a normal perm. To style digitally permed hair, you can just blow-dry it and use your other hand to shape your curls.

The salon’s charming proprietress Daisy Mabanto participated in the Filipino Hairdressers’ Cooperative 27th Hair & Makeup Trends on March 3, 2011, which featured popular hair and makeup artists like Ricky Reyes as well as Cebu’s own Wendy Mendoza and Jessie Glova. D’ Beauty Wonderland was a sponsor of Re United, a fashion show for a cause, namely for the benefit of the Hospicio de San Jose de Barili.
