If you are looking for a new place to chill out without worrying about your outfit, the Payag Payag Restobar is definitely a perfect pick! Located in Nasipit, Talamban (just below the famous Tomo Cafe), this new restobar has a relaxing atmosphere that’s primarily brought about by the fact that it comes with nipa huts, thus the name “Payag Payag”.
Unlike other nightlife venues that require a dress code, this customer-friendly restobar shows that drinking outside of your house can still be cozy. It sure offers a breath of fresh air when it comes to nightlife venues in Cebu since it is filled with nipa huts that look like cottages in beach resorts. Dining, drinking, and simply standing by here would make you feel like you are in your own province enjoying alcoholic drinks and boisterous laughs with your closest neighbors and relatives!
Payag Payag indeed offers a different level of comfort and relaxation and enjoyment to all its customers. Apart from the fact that it is filled with fresh-looking nipa huts, the place also has amiable staff. Plus, they have a really affordable menu. Their pork/chicken barbecue and other grilled food taste really good, too. And, for those group of friends who have non-alcoholic drinkers, fret not for this restobar serves fruit shakes and pica-pica that everyone can enjoy!
Payag Payag just opened last August 22, 2014, but it is now a go-to for lots of nightlife enthusiasts. To get there from the downtown area, simply ride Talamban-bound jeepneys, namely 13C, 13B, 62B, and 62C. Just tell the driver to drop you off Nasipit Commercial Plaza, which is on the left side of the road. Payag Payag is right beside this establishment. The restobar’s open daily from 11:00 AM to 3:00 AM and has a parking lot. For questions, you may call 0917 566 2005 or visit their official FB page.
Everything Cebu’s Visit to Payag Payag
Even before the restobar opened, the team went to Talamban to check out the place, and thanks to the owners’ generosity, we enjoyed a free lunch that day! Here are some of our photos. 🙂
