My generation grew up with fantasies of plopping on sunflower beds, staring at the velvet sky adorned with luminescent stars, sharing sweet nothings with the one you love while Gin Blossoms’ “As Long As It Matters” plays on the background. Some of us even picked their “Congratulations I’m Sorry” album as our funeral playlist, just in case we had to check out early.
Anyhow, here we are, about a decade older from when we used to play Gin Blossoms’ “Outside Looking In: The Best Of The Gin Blossoms” album on incessant replay, and we still find ourselves swooning over “Til I Hear It From You” and “Follow You Down.”
So, imagine the joy and the anticipation brought about by news that the band would be conducting a concert at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu. A generation, now in their prime, has come back to life. And boy, are we ready to rock!
On Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 8 p.m., Robin Wilson, Jesse Valenzuela, Scott Johnson, Bill Leen, and John Richardson will conquer the stage at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Lahug, Cebu City. The event, GIN BLOSSOMS LIVE IN MANILA AND CEBU, is a Blue Dream Entertainment production.
Tickets are sold at Php2,500, Php2,000, Php,1350, Php1,000, and Php600. For ticket reservations, contact Waterfront Lahug at (032) 232-6888, or visit the Customer Service Counter of SM City Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu.
