Carlos A. Gothong Lines, Inc. (CAGLI) is one of the major inter-island shipping lines in the Philippines, providing more than 20 trips per week from Cebu City, Manila, Iligan, Ozamiz, Nasipit, and Cagayan de Oro. Gothong Lines is a passenger and freight shipping company based in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. CAGLI was formerly merged with WG&A SuperFerry and was the first domestic shipping company in the Philippines to be licensed by the International Safety Management Code standard.

In 2002, CAGLI sold all its shares to the Aboitiz Group and revived its company. The separation of CAGLI from WG&A highlighted a significant move in the company’s history. The company had to start from scratch; however, it has successfully bounced back. In just 7 years, it has steadily grown and now owns 5 vessels that travel to more than 6 major ports in the Philippines. The success of the company can be attributed to the persevering determination displayed by its founder and successors.

The company is also branching out and aiming to develop its own private wharf and container yard operations in order to be independent from government-owned wharfs or piers.

Cebu-based CAGLI remains true to its mission in serving the Filipino nation and its people with value-for-money shipping transport services. Currently, it operates the following ferries: M/V Manila Bay 1, M/V Ozamiz Bay 1, M/V Subic Bay 1, M/V Cagayan Bay 1, and Trans Asia 5 (formerly Butuan Bay 1).
