J Centre Mall
Located at A. S. Fortuna St., in Mandaue City, J Centre Mall is another addition to the growing number of malls occupying the Cebu province. J Mall, as it is fondly called by locals, officially celebrated its grand launch on November 11, 2011, along with several of its anchor stores.
Everjust Realty Development Corp. is the developer behind J Centre, which is conceptualized as a mixed-use development that consists of several establishments including a mall, hotel, a number of apartments, and considerable office spaces for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, among others. EverJust Realty is the real-estate arm of Profood International Corporation, which is led by recognized exporter Justin Uy. The mall’s development manager is H. S. Pow Construction & Development Corp.
J Mall boasts of over 200 boutique stores and restaurants that provide ample options for the avid shopper and meticulous diner. One of its anchor stores is SM Hypermart, which is a business entity operating under the SM Group of Companies brand. It provides a first-rate indoor wet market, a food and general merchandise store, a bills payment booth, a foreign exchange center, Western Union, and Watsons, along with other stores regularly found in Hypermarts. Its J Centre Mall branch is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
JC Department Store fills up J Mall’s department that caters to the varied needs of children, ladies and men. The store, according to J Mall’s Facebook page, is the newest retail outlet that provides a wide variation of clothing, shoes and accessories to fit every consumer’s needs. JC assures that it will carry 100% store consignor brand items.
Found at the Upper Ground Floor is the recently opened Jonie’s Flavored Chicken. Other fast food/restaurant/restobars/food options include All Seasons Bakeshop, McDonalds, Jollibee, Tubo, 101 Taiwan Bakeshop, Bora Grille, Dimsum Talk, Glow Restobar, Koreyum, Kublai Khan, Kulsina, Leona’s Bakeshop, Mang Inasal, Monster Franks, Pan de Manila, Tsiboom, Kotobuki-ya, Siknoy, and Aji Ichiban. Coffee shops have also opened at the mall, specifically Bo’s Coffee, Coffee Dream, and Tablea. Dong Juan will also be opening its J Mall branch this February.
The First Family Appliance Circle Corp. is located at the Second Level, near District 50 and Kate’s Salad Express. Ace Hardware and CDR King are also prominent mall tenants. Business Office and School Supplies (B.O.S.S.) is located beside Kodak Express and across WOW Travel and Tours at the Upper Ground Floor. Similar tenants include Tours Les Jours and Jetsetter’s Travel & Tours, and an Airphil Ticketing Office.
If you need a haircut or other salon services, you can head over to David’s Salon or Salon de Rose, and then have a relaxing massage at Spa @ Cebu afterwards. However, if you enjoy amusement centers, then visit Xcite Republic, which is the first Tap Card Arcade System in Cebu and which can be found at the third level of the mall.
Rose Pharmacy and Three Sixty Pharmacy are also occupying ample spaces at the mall so for emergency medical or first-aid needs, you can drop by these pharmacies. For dental concerns, check out Amor Dental Clinic. If you need to have your eyesight checked, visit Executive Optical or Sight Haven Optical.
For your banking needs, you can head over to the BDO and RCBC branches located within the centre. LBC, Cebuana Lhuillier and M. Lhuillier are also available for other financial services.
Other stores that you will find at J Mall are Accessorize, AW Giftshoppe, Bon Hui Accessories, Bon Hui Telecom, Broadway Gems, BUM Equipment, Inc., Carpisa, Click n’ Print, Clothes Minded Boutique, Converse, Diva, Florsheim, GIBI, Gioielleria, Gold Creation Jewelry Center, G by Guess, I-Fashion Boutique, James & Kate Shoe Outlet, Kangaroo Jacks, Kid’s Planet, Liliput, Mossimo, New Hot Trends, Pink Box, Q2 Enterprises, RC Goldline, Saturn’s Boutique, Shoe Up, Skin Food, Sky Fun Souvenir Shop, Team Manila, Timberland, V Glam.More.Ross, Vans, YKL, and ZYQ Marketing.

This dynamic destination not only has a diverse selection of stores and services, but they also host various events that will surely keep mall-goers entertained. To mention a few, here are two upcoming events to look forward to:
(a) On February 25, 2012, the mall will be hosting “Game ON! J Centre Xtreme Cosplay Competition.” Cosplayers are invited to be at J Mall’s Activity Center from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the said event; and
(b) On February 29, at 7 p.m., witness an amazing fireworks display to be hosted by J Centre Mall in cooperation with Dragon Fireworks Inc. The event is entitled “Celebrating 366 Days: A Leap Year Fireworks Display.”
J Centre has a vast parking space that can fit over 800 vehicles. For those who will be opting for public transportation, we recommend riding a jeepney that plies the Mandaue Highway route. From the Highway, J Centre Mall can be reached either by walking from Jollibee A.S. Fortuna or by riding another jeepney going to Gaisano Country Mall or Talamban. The mall is easy to locate as it is strategically situated along the road, beside the Norkis factory.
