Are you and your friends into reggae music? It’s time to team up and form a reggae band, and join Waterfront Mactan Hotel and Casino’s “Reggae Meets Reggae: A Band Competition.”

Oktoberfest is here once again! Waterfront Mactan is celebrating this month-long festivity with a reggae bang! Join the search for the best reggae band on October 16, 2010. Cash prizes, gift certificates and other special prizes will be given away. To top it off, Waterfront Mactan will feature Skankin’ Brews, one of Cebu’s most sought-after reggae bands.

All independent reggae bands are encouraged to join this band competition. Get ready to battle the reggae fever out. To register, submit a CD with one cover song (studio recorded), together with a group name and contact details to Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Sales and Marketing Department. You may also email your song (mp3 format) to j.zamora@waterfronthotels.net. Deadline of entries is on October 2, 2010. Make sure to send your best recorded song because only selected applicants will be notified. Qualified applicants should not have any record deals.

Oktoberfest is a month-long beer festival celebrated annually, filled with merrymaking activities happening simultaneously all over the world. In the Philippines, this celebration begins on the first days of October with lineups of concerts and fun parties with overflowing beer held during weekends. It is then closed with a major shindig on the last days of October.
