QBC Indoor Action Air Range
Have you ever been in an air-soft battle? It can be likened to a production of Hamlet that is demanding as well as edgy and by the end of which nearly everyone has pretended to have died. Air-soft shootouts are a way for people to safely experience a first-person-shooter game in real life. They also attract the military wannabe type of person.
One of the places in Cebu where you can engage in air-soft battles is the QBC Action Air Range in Mandaue. This air-soft arena has obstacles plus walls and sandbag piles where players can take cover from flying air-soft projectiles. For a four-hour shootout, participants may be provided with air-soft handgun (in addition to their air-soft rifles) and two ammunition magazines with 125 grams of pellets. These battles may be one-on-one up to four-on-four.
Using protective gear such as goggles and rented Kevlar vests is recommended for an air-soft battle. In some players’ air-soft shootouts, they include objectives like “capture the flag” or “prisoners of war.”
QBC, founded by local air-soft aficionados Ernesto Dacay Jr. and Jan Dacay, constructed its first game site in 2006 for recreation and practice, when the original QBC outlet opened. In 2007, it established a larger game site, with a total area of two warehouses, allowing for larger teams and more dynamic maneuvering. Open to the public, this indoor game site is one of the largest and most meticulously designed game sites in the Philippines.
The QBC air range is located on S. Jayme St., at the Shemberg Compound in Zone Sikwa, Paknaan, Mandaue City. For more information on the air range, interested people can contact QBC through its Facebook page, send info@qbcairsoftarmory.com an e-mail message, or call telephone number 344-6281.
