Cebu Trivia Nights
Cebu has been introduced to a new type of mid-week activity that you and your friends can join whenever you want to.
Alejandro’s “Cebu Trivia Nights” is an event patterned on the latest craze among popular bars in Manila and the US. The activity is held at Alejandro’s Filipino Resto, which is conveniently located at Don Jose Avila St., in Capitol, Cebu City. The restaurant claims to be home of Best Crispy Pata in Cebu and has in fact earned popularity for this mouth-watering delicacy.
Alejandro’s has been holding Cebu Trivia Nights every Wednesday night since February 2010. Trivia Night’s organizers say the main goal is basically to provide its guests with entertainment. Coincidentally, this activity is both fun and educational, with questions that come from a wide range of genres. The trivia questions can come from subjects as academic as science, geography, history, literature, language, philosophy, politics, technology, and religion. It can also cover the fields of current events, music, film, people, pop culture, and fashion.
The Trivia Night is participated by groups composed of as few as a single person or as many as all your interested peers. Each dining table will be asked at the beginning of the night by Alejandro’s staff whether they would want to join the activity. Participating groups are each given a white board and a marker. One point is given for every correct answer. At the end of the activity, the group with the most points wins whatever the Alejandro’s and their sponsors decide to give away, from gift certificates to consumables.
The minds behind Trivia Night (Jewel Jalandoni, Leica Cruz and Alexis Yap) are reeling with happiness over the successful turn-out of this alternative form of entertainment. For example, because it has garnered much favorable attendance and due to some insistent requests, Cebu Trivia Nights are also being held at the TapRoom in Banilad. TapRoomThursdays featuring CTN started in September and has since been well participated.
So if you have nothing planned for Wednesday night, we’ll expect you at Alejandro’s for some mind teasing and lots of mouth-watering crispy pata.
For reservations (which we recommend you do since the place is always jam-packed and you don’t want to miss another Trivia Night just because you didn’t listen to us), call (032) 253-7921.
