A zip line consists of a cable suspended above an incline and a pulley and harness to be used by a rider, which are attached to the cable.

In Busay, Cebu, there is a 180-meter zip line ride at the Doce Pares Mountain Training Park, which opened in October 2009. Doce Pares originally intended the zip line for their aerial combat demonstrations, since the organization promotes Filipino martial arts. Doce Pares constructed the zip line with expert help from a pool of designers and engineers, and they plan to have a second and longer zip line before 2010 ends. There have even been offers for them to build zip lines in other parts of the country.

Doce Pares has a shuttle service from JY Square, Lahug (which is about eight kilometers from the park), with a minimum charge of Php300 for ten persons. The ride to the park takes around fifteen minutes. If you can’t take the shuttle, one of your transportation alternatives is a motorcycle ride, which also starts from JY Square.

The park gets an average of eight hundred visitors on weekends and five hundred during the regular working days. It is open 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends. The park also has a tree swing ride above a deep trench and a café providing refreshments.

Zip line rides are Php100 per person, and the park has an entrance fee of P20 per person. For further information about the zip line ride, you can call telephone numbers 582 3821 and 0920 653 9874.
