Valentine’s Day: Cebu Hotels

Valentine’s Day is coming up. Aside from flower shops and chocolatiers, hotel, resort and restaurant staff will also have their hands packed on Monday, February 14. Couples will be out on romantic dates, and the singles will be out on group dates. Indeed, we will all have our excuses to enjoy another date night.

To make this celebration of love more memorable for everyone in the city, Cebu’s hotels, resorts and restaurants have made several promotional offerings that you can choose from. For hotel choices, the Parklane Cebu, Rajah Park Hotel, Cebu City Marriott Hotel, Montebello Villa Hotels, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino, and Hotel Elizabeth all have Valentine’s Day promos.

Parklane, located at the Ayala Business Park, offers two choices: an Php888 per person poolside set menu and a Php4,900 overnight stay with free breakfast and dinner for two. The offer is available from February 10 to February 14. Rooms are further discounted if you book before February 14. Reservations can be made through (032)411-7000 or (032)232-9079.

Rajah Park offers a 20% discount on all their rooms for February 14. The hotel’s restaurant, Fuente O’ Restaurante, also offers fine dining for romantics at Php450 net per person. The ladies will receive complementary heart-shaped mini cakes while the men will get one glass of wine. Inquiries and reservations are to be made at (032)412-3337 or (032)254-7277.

Marriott celebrates Valentine’s with a special dinner buffet for Php999 per person. Roses and chocolates will be given to the ladies and couples will be serenaded with romantic music all throughout their dinner. As a bonus, an hourly raffle draw will be held to award three lucky couples an overnight stay at the hotel with free breakfast. Reservations are to be made at (032)415-6100.

Montebello offers a Php4,000 net room package, which covers an overnight stay for two in a deluxe room, with free breakfast, a bottle of sparkling wine, and two tickets to the February 14 evening affair. Tickets for the event are Php500 per person. The night will include a romantic dinner buffet, which opens at 7 p.m., and ballroom dancing, which starts at 8 p.m. For inquiries or reservations, call (032)231-3681 to 89.

The Waterfront Hotel in Mactan is offering Php4,200 net per room per night for single or double occupancy room packages from February 13 to February 17, 2011. This includes superior room accommodation for an overnight stay, buffet breakfast and dinner at Uno. Uno also has special offerings for February 14, including a dinner buffet at Php700 per person and a set menu at Php1,200 per person. Inquiries and reservations should be made at (032)340-4888.

For February 11 to February 20, 2011, Hotel Elizabeth has a Love is in the Air Php4,800 net room package, which offers an overnight stay for two with a special Valentine treat for guests. On February 12, the hotel is hosting a Valentine’s dinner for Php2,200. Call (032)231-8000 for reservations.

   I should have checked in at one of these hotels Last Feb 14 with the discounts. hehe. Perhaps next year. Cebu hotels are really world class.
