Express Inn opened its Cebu City branch last July 28, 2012. The hotel is strategically located near the border between the cities of Cebu and Mandaue. This friendly budget hotel is only a few minutes away from major shopping malls (Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu, Parkmall, Gaisano Country Mall), convention centers (Cebu International Convention Center and Grand Convention Center), restaurants, churches, international seaports, and the Mactan International Airport.

All of Express Inn’s 84 rooms are elegantly furnished and equipped with the following courtesy amenities:

•     24-inch LCD TV with cable connection
•     Free Wi-Fi
•     Executive writing desk
•     Hot and cold shower
•     Individually controlled air-conditioning unit
•     Electronic door lock system

Additionally, deluxe rooms at Express Inn Cebu City each have an in-room safety deposit box, a 32-inch LCD television and mini bar / refrigerator.

In the days leading up to when it opened its doors, Express Inn through offered promotional rates  to preferred corporate clientele, for its room types, which are briefly described in the table below. The promo rates were inclusive of government taxes and valid until December 2012.

Another rate inclusion is a buffet breakfast at Sammy’s Restobar. For children six (6) years old and below, breakfast is free of charge. Full payment is for children aging seven (7) years old and above.

Family-style menus are available at Sammy’s.  These menus don’t include beverages. For a varying minimum of two to six adults, Menus A to D include:

• Soup of the day
• Entrée
• Vegetable side dish / chop suey / pinakbet / adobong kangkong (depending on the menu chosen)
• Plain rice
• Dessert of the day

Menus A to D were meant to feature Asian cuisine, so the entrées to be served are such dishes as inihaw na pusit, tempura, liempo, kare-kare, or crispy pata. For Menus F to H (European-cuisine menus), the possible entrées include chicken cordon bleu, fish fillet à la forestière, pork tenderloin Escoffier, coated fish fillet Napolitano, beef stew, and seafood marinara. Menu G substitutes pasta with shrimps, mushroom and pesto for the plain rice in the other menus, while Menu H gives a dining group the choice of mashed potatoes in the place of rice. Vegetable side dishes with the European-cuisine menus may be broccoli and cauliflower casserole or filled grilled tomatoes.

When customers avail of the family-style menus, their children six (6) years old and below are free of charge. Children aging seven (7) years old to twelve (12) would get 50 percent off the net price per person. Express Inn Cebu City also offers a number of meeting packages and social party packages, with plenty of the usual inclusions for such arrangements.

Suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, acquaintance parties, and other gatherings, the Social Party Package has inclusions such as complete buffet meal setup, alcoholic or nonalcoholic punch, purified drinking water, sound system with microphones and DVD player, decorative tarpaulin for party celebrant, centerpieces for dining tables, personalized service from Express Inn’s banquet coordinator, and professional waiter services. You also have the option to upgrade your social party package to a customized menu, where you choose from Express Inn’s variety of Asian and continental dishes, for an additional fee per person. You can have a complimentary food tasting for two persons upon 50 percent down payment for the package.

The Social Party Package for 30 persons costs Php35,000. Their wedding package starts at Php35,000 net for 30 persons, while their debut package starts at Php55,000 net for 50 persons. Their meeting package costs Php688 net per person.

Mark your calendars for Express Inn’s drink buffets. Every 5th and 20th day of the month are for wine lovers, with unlimited wine only priced at Php488. Enjoy bottomless cocktails every 10th and 25th of the month, while beer buffet is scheduled on the 15th and 30th.

Airport pickup and/or drop-off are a service that Express Inn offers. For one to three persons, a guest or guests would pay a net fee per car, per way. For four up to sixteen persons, guests pay a net fee per van, per way.

   we are family friend and neighbor of steve and ann moor of aloha, oregon. just moments i was in contact with your mactan branch via skype; suggested an email address but did not work out well.

   we are planning to visit cebu about jan. 8/2013 depending on the flight we get. we usually stay in the heart of cebu city but it is worth trying your facility as highly recommended by ann. we are both 75 y.o, do you recognize and honor the senior citizens law of 20% discount? we have been enjoying this privilege for several years now. kindly let me know.
