Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort
Nestled in the southern part of the Cebu province is an ideal getaway for ultimate relaxation and comfort, the Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort. The resort is gifted with a picturesque view of the sea and a touch of calmness that right away soothes your soul.
The resort’s distinct landmark is identified with its name “Dakong Bato,” which translates to “Big Rock.” Upon entering the resort’s gate, guests will immediately understand why such name has been chosen for the resort. It is famously associated with the Visayan folklore of Maria Cacao’s story, about a half immortal who purportedly made the huge stone the docking place for her golden ship, which carried the baskets of cacao she sold all over the world. The huge stone is said to be continuously growing up to this day.
Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort is a private resort with wonderful amenities to offer their guests. The resort has two (2) swimming pools, jacuzzi, air conditioned rooms, cottages, restaurant, viewing deck, and team-building facilities that are suitable for large groups of people. The spring water pool comes with a slide and a jacuzzi that is just right for anyone to have a relaxing water massage.
For guests and visitors who wish to spend the day at the resort basking under the sun or taking a swim, there are a number of cottages that are available for use. The cottage fees range from Php300 to Php500, depending on its size. Family and friends can sit and relax comfortably as each cottage comes with a table and set of chairs.

The room amenities include air-conditioning units, ceiling fan, bathroom with hot and cold shower, and a TV set and DVD player. There are DVDs available for guests to rent. Family rooms are equipped with a refrigerator. Guests also get to enjoy the resort’s unlimited WiFi access, as well.
A number of recreational activities await guests, aside from the festive mood that get-togethers and family gatherings bring. Sports buffs can engage in vigorous activities like playing basketball or water volleyball. The resort also has rubber kayaks and dingy boats for rent. Guests can add a twist of excitement to their experience by hanging out in the resort’s funky “Flintstones” cave or the “Suite Heart” cave, which is the primary source of the resort’s spring.

How to Get There
Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort is located at Coro, Dalaguete, Cebu. Getting there takes about two (2) and a half hours of travel time from Cebu City. There are several air-conditioned and non air- conditioned buses to choose from at the South Bus Terminal, which are bound for Dalaguete. Among them are Ceres Bus Liner, Sunrays Bus Liner, Natalie Bus Liner, Quilaton Bus Liner, D’ Rough Riders Bus Liner, and Villahermosa Bus Liner.
