The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Bantayan Island, Pt. 3: Sta. Fe Beach Club
This third installment of my Bantayan Island adventure is about this beach resort that I saw on the landscape as the ferry boat inches towards the dock at the Island’s pier. The image will really catch your eye. Imagine a huge white cottage surrounded by coconut trees and white sands. In addition, fronting this wonderful lodge are the Island’s pristine waters.
Situated on the panoramic beachfront of Bantayan Island is the Santa Fe Beach Club. With its exotic charm and tropical ambience, you will be enthralled by its captivating white shores and crystal waters.
On one cool and shady afternoon, we decided to take a long walk along the shores of
Bantayan Island. With Sugar Beach as our starting point, a friend and I strolled along shorelines. It was quite a leisurely walk since we got to see many resorts on one side, and an open view of the sea on the other. We got to walk along the beachfronts of Yooneek Beach Resort and Budyong Beach, among others. Unlike the beach resorts in Mactan, Bantayan resorts don’t close in their property with gates or fences, thus, making it suitable for long walks on the beach. More or less, it’s like Boracay where resorts are pretty much interconnected.
From Sugar Beach, we reached the pier after several minutes of walking. We found a passageway from the shorelines that will lead us to the port’s parking lot. Time really flies when you’re having fun. It was a long walk but you won’t notice it. There was so much to see around that we forgot the distance and the time element as we strutted along the shoreline.
When we reached the pier, we were curious as to what was on the other side. But unlike the side where we came from, there was no passageway leading us from the pier to the shorelines on the other side. Thus, we decided to walk on the main roads instead and leave the shore route.
A few meters from the pier, we were reminded of the huge cottage that we saw as the ferry boat was about the dock. So ventured into an area and took a turn into a corner, thinking this might be the place.
We proceeded a few more meters until we reached an interlink fence. What we saw was the one of the most majestic houses we saw on the island.
Everything is white at The Santa Fe Beach Club: The sand, the cottages, everything. Definitely, the sand is as sugary and white as Sugar Beach and Yooneek.
Santa Fe Beach Club has a good view of the docks. You can see the boats coming in and out of the Island. Regardless of the proximity of the resort to the port, the waters are still crystalline and pristine.
With its relaxing atmosphere and rustic feel, the Santa Fe Beach Club is a wonderful vacation destination. Experience its enchanting serenity and plush comfort.
