“P” Press Conference
Last September 4, 2012, Everything Cebu participated in the press conference for multi-awarded Cebuano film director Remton Siega Zuasola’s upcoming project entitled “P.”
“P” is Zuasola’s tribute to Blessed Pedro Calungsod, who will soon be canonized as the second Filipino saint.
According to the Director’s Statement, Zuasola made a pact with Blessed Pedro Calungsod that if his dream of becoming a film director would come true, then he would make a film about his fellow Visayan. To quote, Zuasola said “Today, I am about to venture into yet another milestone in Cebuano cinema - an idea whose time has come when I heard about his canonization, and that there’s no better time to make the film than now.”
The film “P” tells the story of Peter, Pierre and Pedro. Peter is a surgeon and his wife will be played by no less than the lovely Ms. Angel Aquino. The young musician, Pierre, will be portrayed by Matteo Guidicelli and Akiko Solon will be his onscreen girlfriend. Donna Gimeno, who played the lead role for “Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria,” will appear as Pierre’s band mate. The promising young Cebuano actor, Eli Razo, will play the role of Pedro. A chance encounter will change the lives of these three individuals.
The crew will begin production within the next few months as they are scheduled to release the film in April 2013, which should be timely for Calungsod’s feast day celebration.
