I bought a (used) classical Alegre guitar a few weeks ago. According to the placard inside its about 7 years old. It sounds almost as good my 40 year old Yari!

It’s pretty beat up. Finish is chipped (particualrly at the base of the neck) and I had to reset a fret, but I think it’s a very good guitar. I’m considering refinishing it, or at least repairing the existing finish in order ot seal it, and I would like to know what type of Finish you use. I mean is it water-based or oil-based?
