Temple of Leah: A Tribute of Love

Love made Temple of Leah possible as Teodorico Adarna, father of actress Ellen Adarna and owner of Queensland motels, offers the construction of the huge edifice to his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna.

“This Temple was constructed in the year 2012 A.D as a symbol of my undying love for her and my ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna,” he noted on their FB page.

And because this was made out of love, it doesn’t only welcome visitors with the spectacular view of the city but also with the warmth of the place.

A few months back, the news of a temple being built in Brgy. Busay made a lot of locals excited since there’s not much Roman architecture you can find in Cebu. Because Roman architecture is popular for being so intricate and different, we can’t wait to see what the temple would actually look like from outside to the inside.

Guess what, after a long wait, at last it’s complete.

This new attraction is perfect for those who would want to appreciate the structure while checking out their art gallery and museum. This is also perfect for photoshoots of any kind which is gladly for free as of the time of this writing.

As you approach the temple, you will be in awe of the gigantic gold lions at each side of the stairs leading to the entrance. As you enter the doors of the building, the grand staircase will leave your mouth hanging.

Some of those who have already visited the place described that they feel like they’re in ancient Rome. It would take years of saving for most of us to be able to afford to go to Rome, so visiting this place would perhaps suffice, eh.

Buddy, get your facts right. I thought western people are smarter than that? Catholics do not worship statues, they are mere symbols but not subject to worship.

    Hi Kolinn,

The shuttle service from Jollibee, I.T. Park going to the temple doesn’t have a fixed schedule. But the last time I was there I observed that the van leaves every hour.

I wish you a great time! Cheers!

Hi, Just a correction Teodorico is Ellen’s paternal grandfather not her dad per se. Also she has a younger brother with the same name. Will visit this beautifully structured place tomorrow. Too psyched! =)

Yeah. Temples aren’t necessarily a place of worship. Just like Taj Mahal and how it is a resting place of a wife of a king.

I hate that the architecture’s design is attributed to the romans when its really the greeks who started it.

@David Obviously you are a non-Catholic. Because you have a narrow understanding of what Catholics believe.

Temple of Lea is not a place of worship for people who visit the place. They were there because they were fascinated by the location and the Greek inspired infrastructures. Greeks were known for their Goddesses. But the owner of the place found his way of honoring his wife….He calls it Temple. It is never the intention of anybody who visits the place. It is more of an Adarna Family Museum.

As a catholic. I was not aware that this is a place of worship. This was built by a person who loved another person. The statues connect to his wife. It does not connect to Catholics. I don’t get why you Atheists comment without careful research. Ignorance truly is bliss. Such an ignorant comment coming from a foreigner.

    Please get your facts right.

Leah Villa Albino-Adarna is Ellen Adarna’s GRANDMOTHER.
Teodorico is her GRANDFATHER, not FATHER.

JJ: The site is still under heavy construction and the hammering, drilling and such are still very visible, and they are now charging 50pesos/ head for entrance; 2500 for photoshoot/pictorial.
