Ever since its opening in December 2011, St. James Amusement Park has been widely talked about in social media and has already become a household name in the whole Cebu, and why not? Who wouldn’t find this place AWESOME?!
St. James Amusement Park was conceived due to an entrepreneur’s belief that Cebu lacks entertainment facilities. James Abilla, the chief executive officer of the company St. James Amusement Masters Inc. (also responsible for the making of St. James bottled water), thought of setting up an amusement park on the FF Cruz property in the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City just in time for the holiday season of 2011 so the young ones and young at hearts in Cebu can have a perfect place to go to for their Christmas celebrations.
The one -hectare park features a wide variety of rides that was installed professionally and has passed the international safety standards for amusement parks, giving Cebuanos a guarantee that St. James Amusement Park is indeed a secured play area for people of all ages. The amusement park boasts 5 major rides, a bazaar, a marquee show, a kids’ play area, game booths, and food stalls, and lately, the Inflatable City was added featuring inflatables where children can safely jump and slide at as well as a tall water slide that even adults can enjoyably experience! This brand new entertainment offering is 50 feet long and 30 feet tall and is, in fact, considered as the “world’s longest and tallest inflatable water slide!” Just have extra clothes ready though so you and your family or friends can easily change after enjoying the amusement park’s wet and wild ride!
Aside from a really tall water slide, St. James Amusement Park also has the skateboard park and the trampoline as additions to their pioneering rides, which are flying chairs, bumper cars, a space shuttle, a kiddie rail train, a swinging pirate ship, and a whole lot more. St. James Amusement Park is open everyday from 4 PM to midnight with an entrance fee of 60 pesos. Tokens for the rides and attractions, on the other hand, are sold at 35 pesos; however, you can avail of their All-Day Pass for 300 pesos to have a chance to try all of the rides as many times as you want!
