Before it was declared as a municipality, Medellin was part of Daanbantayan, a first-class municipality found in the northernmost tip of Cebu.
The town’s main agricultural products are sugarcane, coconuts, fruits, and corn. Just like any other Cebu province, Medellin has an annual town fiesta celebrated every April 26 and 27.
