Are you a car fanatic? Do you ever wonder what’s inside the posh cars, both vintage and new, driven around Cebu? You don’t have to wait for car shows to be able to get a closer look of the engine, interiors or accessories because Real Cebu Television (RCTV) has relaunched its program dedicated to automobiles.
Everything Cebu was invited to RCTV’s relaunch of the show entitled “Roadtest” last April 28, 2012, which was held at the Total Gas Station at Ouano Avenue, North Reclamation Area. Hosted by VJ Marie Dinolan, the event reintroduced a magazine program that aims to raise an average Filipino’s proficiency in driving that includes road safety and vehicle maintenance.
“Roadtest” is hosted by the energetic Paul Kiener. Each episode features two types of cars: a vintage collectible and the latest model. He explains the features of some of the best cars in Cebu and gets to test drive them. It will end with various helpful tips for road safety and car care, providing an absolute understanding of traffic laws and regulations, as well as proper driving techniques and repair tips. The show is presented by Total Philippines Corporation, one of the country’s leading fuel companies.
While having their snacks, courtesy of Vienna Kaffeehouse, the guests were able to view the first episode that featured the 2009 Nissan GTR ug Honda Civic Type R. Everyone found the episode interesting and Kiener perfect for the show.
Present during the event were RCTV executives namely President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mike Solon and Chairman Johann Young. Sales Manager Grace Abellana and Station Manager Chad Songalia were also there. On the other hand, Total representatives who flew in from Manila include President and Managing Director Ernst Wanten, Manager for Corporate Communications Malou Espina and Assistant Manager for Corporate Communications Iris Reyes.
