Queen of Cebu 2010

Winners of The Queen of Cebu 2010 pageant were crowned on November 6, 2010, at the Pacific Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Venezuela brought home the pageant’s most sought-after crown of Queen Universe. Malaysia was crowned Queen World and Italy bagged the title Queen International. Mexico and Ethiopia followed suit as first and second runners-up, respectively.

The event, which is the second installation of the pageant, was organized as a fundraiser by Clothes for Life in cooperation with the Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Foundation. Clothes for Life is an association of fashion designers and insiders in Cebu, spearheaded by Cary Santiago and Wendell Quisido. Benefactors and sponsors of the event include Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, Amparito Llamas Lhuillier, Marguerite Jones Lhuillier, Mariquita Yeung, Katrina Ponce Enrile, Laarni Enriquez, and Pinky Tobiano. Celebrity sponsors also include Charo Santos Concio and Kristine Hermosa.

“Queen, A Pageant for Alternatives” showcased Cebuano pride featuring the creations of renowned Cebuano designers Edwin Ao, Arcy Gayatin, Jun Escario, Philip Rodriguez, Protacio, and many more. The show was directed by Engr. Junjet Primor.

The proceeds of the pageant will be donated to various beneficiaries supported by Clothes for Life, including Little Lamb Children’s Center.
